Sorry to get this post up a little late - just returned from a trip to Asia to create a new SewingBox in conjunction with our new OfficeBox. We would love to hear your comments and questions on the new OfficeBox. We designed this with the help of several customers asking for a more compact design . We are offering these products for the first time in Natural Oak, Black Oak, Natural Maple and Cherry. All of the OfficeBoxes now come prebuilt - meaning no need to assemble. Now you have even more options to store your stuff in style! Tags: OfficeBox | OfficeBox giveaway | Sewing table

| Extra Prizes for the CraftBox Giveaway Competition. |

A few people have called in and complained that it is not fair that one person should have so many votes in this competition. Some have also suggested that we make the competition more difficult than just voting. This is probably a good idea. I am not one to go back on my word, so we will continue on this competition as set out in the beginning. I am, however, willing to add a second and third prize to this competition to keep things exciting. So, 2nd prize is a "Mini" Box in vanilla beadboard including free shipping to the 50 States aor Canada - same value as the CraftBox. 3rd prize is a giant self healing cutting mat and a ribbon box. Don't give up. Lots can happen between now and then! Glenn Tags:

| Update on the CraftBox Giveaway |
| 2009.04.07 21:09:52 | |
|
We have had about 80 people upload their craftroom pictures so far. Anyone who enters now wil be at a disadvantage, but can still win. There have been a few people with concerns that some of the people with the highest votes have been using dishonest forms of acquiring votes. I have spoken personally with several of the highest vote entries and they assure me that they are not using any dishonest means to get votes. Others have suggested that because they have only become aware of the competition now, they are at a disadvantage. This is true. I am sorry if you only found out about this now. The best suggestion I have is to keep coming back and checking, because we will have another competition in May - not sure yet what it will be. Anyway, I hope this is fun for all involved. 2 more weeks left in the competition. Anyone can win!

We have had such an overwhelming response to the giveaway! Our traffic was more than double average on Thursday and then our site crashed!!! I believe that there is a special place in Hell for hackers who destroy for no good reason. Anyway, after 10 hours of scrambling, we were able to get the site up this morning at 1 a.m. (Thanks Cresta) Unfortunately we had to rebuild our shopping cart and so have offered free shipping for the inconvenience of calling in your orders for today only. What I am thinking, is to offer a consolation prize to all entrees with over 100 votes. Thanks for all your uploads. I will show what the consolation prizes will be soon, so come back to check what it will be. We now have about 100 fans on Facebook. We will send out updates of specials like free shipping or free stuff to our fans. Sign up to get the updates. Glenn Tags: scrapbook table | scrapbooking furniture | scrapbook storage | scrapbox

OK, so here's the scoop. On April 1st, and no this is not an April fool's joke, the CraftBox giveaway begins. The competition will run for 3 weeks.
That's about it. The fewer friends you tell, the better chance you have of less competition. The more you tell, the better chance of winning.
Good luck!!

| Scrapbook USA Expo |
| 2009.03.23 17:37:14 | |
|
We just returned from the Scrapbook Expo in Salt Lake City. Crazy Show! These ladies crop 'till midnight! They all seem to have a lot of fun. Dancing around on tables and keeping each other amused. The show was extremely successful for us. We sold 15 scratch and dent ScrapBoxes. We also showed the EZ View Desk and CraftBox for the first time at a consumer show. I must say, we were busy pretty much the entire show. I think the greatest interest was in the new CraftBox. Our first container will be here within the month. As mentioned last week, we will begin our "Free CraftBox Giveaway" next week. The competition will be won based on "Before" pictures of a messy craftroom. These will be judged and voted on by visitors to the site. the most votes wins. So make sure the word gets out if you feel you need a free CraftBox. Glenn

During the past year, The Original Scrapbox has more than doubled in sales. We have now sold over 2500 Scrapboxes! We think the main reason for this is that our loyal customers have shared withall their friends their excitement about their own Scrapboxes. Over the past few months, many potential customers have called us and asked us if we could design a Scrapbox that is not as deep as the "Workbox", but still have the "system" of organization found in the Workbox. We have completed the design of what we call the "Craftbox". Production is also complete on our first container which will ship from China next week to arrive mid April '09. We receive probably 10-15 e-mails or phone calls a day asking for more information about this new product. It will be available in Vanilla and Charcoal in beadboard and raised panel, as well as Knotty Alder in the raised panel. The price is $795 on the Vanilla and Charcoal and $995 for the Knotty Alder. The center portion is designed to hold a "Cricut" or other cutting machines. It has the same dimensions as the Workbox, except that it is only 18" deep instead of 36" deep. We have also designed a new modular desk system called the EZ Desk. The desk itself has a see through top so you can see into your drawers. We also offer a new "Giant" cutting mat which is a self healing mat 2'x3' and fits on top of any desk, including our EZ View Desk. This is currently in production and will be available at the end of April '09. As mentioned, we will be giving away a Scrapbox "Craftbox" in April. It will be based on a "before" and "after" scenario. We will be asking for some "before" pictures of your craft room to decide who would best deserve the Scrapbox. The competition will begin at the end of March and go for 3 weeks. You will have tha ability to post your photos onto our blog and we will allow your friends or any visitor to vote on who they think should win. Most votes wins. We will then post the "after" pictures of the winner once they receive their Workbox. Sounds good? Let me know. It all began back in 2005...
In October 2001, Glenn Jakins started his own import company from his basement in Provo, Utah. He had spent previous years in sales and manufacturing of personal leather goods in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Within 2 years of starting EGI, Darin Davis had joined Glenn in his company, Ensign Group International (E.G.I.) as an owner, to develop new sales channels. As the Company grew, they produced different products for their several clients. For one particular project, they manufactured furniture to furnish some 400 student apartments. They also produced many scrapbooking items for national scrapbooking brands. It seemed natural to somehow produce a "Scrapbooking Furniture" item. Glenn took his Eureka moment and organized focus groups to get input on his new idea. Darin Davis helped run the focus groups. Together they gathered the very best ideas from the focus groups. Using the large storage door from the refrigerator concept, the ScrapBox was born. Within 3 months they had produce 5 ScrapBoxes and presold every one. They then developed through the help of Garth Hubert, a flat-pack construction so they could ship anywhere in the country. They manufactured 50 in the USA and sold them in 3 months. They realized that it was time to cut their manufacturing costs by going to China. Within 6 months, they were selling several ScrapBoxes per day. Glenn turned his focus onto international distribution and sells several containers of product per month into Australia, Europe and the UK. He has also focused on new product development into existing and new channels. New products include the "Mini ScrapBox" - a desktop version of the ScrapBox, the "CraftBox" a slimmer version, and the EZ View Desk and Desktop - a desk with a see through top. Sales have been robust and continue to grow despite the current economy. So... now you know all about us, we want to know about you! Let us know how much you enjoy The Original Scrapbox products! Tell us how your Scrapbox has made a difference in your craft organization! We'll be giving away prizes and gifts to some of you lucky people who comment!
